Fire-Resistant Glass

Fire-resistant glass is specialist glass with a different inter-layer to normal laminated safety glass. When exposed to heat, this layer turns white and will spread to create a heat shield that can reduce conducted heat for anywhere from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes.

The white inter-layer both serves to indicates there is extreme heat coming from that area, acting as a warning to occupants and fire services. It will reduce any immediate distress to people in rooms in proximity to the fire. We can provide fire-resistant glass in a wide range of sizes and shapes, and can template, supply and install it.
